You can get a train in two ways: find them spawning naturally in the world (since they replace chickens) or use the train spawn egg. You have to put an egg on the railway to get a train.
Do not think that it's difficult to control the train. All you have to do is to follow the railway and you'll move wherever you want. You can also hold some coal in your hand to make the train point in the direction which you want to go.
As you can see in the image, the train doesn't have any carts. So, now you'll be able to drive only a cab. Hopefully, the new update will make possible to drive with carts. Probably, it'll be harder to operate it, who knows. Let's wait for a new update.

How to drive a train?

- iOS / Android: Long press on the train and press Ride to enter the train
- Windows 10: Right-click on the train to ride it
