What's new in Minecraft Bedrock 1.18.0.22
This beta brings many interesting surprises! In our opinion, the best ones are:
- Many new songs. There is even a new disc by Lena Raine (look for it in the most secretly-located chests)
- A new Vanilla Experiments toggle. By enabling it you will discover a new kind of Deep Dark Blocks. These blocks can be of four different kinds. The new toggle also includes sculk sensors and goat horns. These two features cannot be enjoyed without enabling the new toggle anymore because the game developers decided so for some reason.
- Old Type Worlds cannot be found in the Create New World screens anymore and even if players can still play in them, the new Minecraft PE 1.18 features won’t update within them.
- Campfires will now drop not one, but two charcoals when broken by a piston or as a result of an explosion
- Light blocks will become explosion-resistant starting with this beta
- A new effect making the screens’ light go down for a while. This effect can be activated by using command /effect @s darkness
- A new random number generator developed for the overworld generation
- Xbox Life is now referred to as just Xbox
- Optimized ore generation
By installing this beta, you may also notice that many issues have been fixed. Some of the most serious ones used to affect:
- The game’s stability
- The feature placements
- Graphics
- User interface
Just like in the previous version, the MCPE developers also made a number of technical updates and fixed several problems affecting this side of the game.
Please remember that starting with this version, to enjoy all the new features (except the ones mentioned at the beginning of this article), you shouldn’t enable the Experimental Features as you got used to until the release of Minecraft PE 1.18.0.20, but always make copies of your favorite builds because this is a beta and we all know that the builds created in betas are slightly unstable compared to those created in full versions.
